Stupid Autozone Duralast Rotors

Good morning. Have any of you used Autozone's Duralast (not gold) brake rotors? If you have, have you been completely disappointed with them? My Corolla has about 97k miles and I have to replace the rotors for the third time! I replaced the OEM rotors and pads at about 65k miles. The duralast rotors only make it about 15k before warping. I had some warranty left of them so I swapped them out and swapped the pads since they are lifetime warranty. These duralast rotors are only last about 15k miles. That's horrible! I'm thinking of trying the duralast gold this time before throwing any more money at the problem. If the golds are junk as well, I will be going with EBC or powerstop. I really don't want to put more money into the car than I have to as it is our beater/commuter, but at the same time I don't want to put more work into than I have to either. I'm just ranting, sorry. Happy Monday.

I've already had that thought and checked with the local dealer on Friday and they quoted me $80ish per rotor. I can't stomach that for OEM. If I'm going to drop that kind of cash I will go with the EBC. The car really doesn't have anything else to worry about...for now.

EBC - Free mice. There's a squeak in every box.

Seriously... I've never been happy with anything other than OEM.
I ran EBC on my motorcycle... front's lasted half as long as OEM, and they used the same part number for the front right as the rear... OEM used a different number for the rear, come to find out that my NEW EBC "rear" pad was only a couple of mm thicker than the OEM rear pad that I was removing... the OEM rear pad was nearly double the thickness of the front right.
They were noisy and "grabby", and faded with heat worse than OEM.

I've got EBC Redstuff on my MR2 and they are fantastic. Better then OEM, less dust and they brake much better while making no noise. I'm convinced and will be putting new EBC slotted rotors along with Redstuff pads on my Corolla S and xB in the near future. Even my friend that works at Toyota uses Redstuff pads and he gets an employee price on OEM parts! The reviews I've read online are very positive too.

As somebody who chills at his local AZ a lot, I strongly caution everybody to stay away from anything that doesn't have a decades-old, recognizable brand name, especially Don't-last products.

I use Powerstop ceramic kits and they've never let me down, for about $80/pop. Also Akebono and Advics pads, and Advics rotors, which are most likely the OEM equipment. The Advics rotors run me about $60 apiece.

"Vatozone"...nowhere is it more true than good ol' San Jose, CA.

Thanks for the input, fellas. I will forego the Duracraps and get the EBC or Powerstop. While the "rolls" is our beater, I don't want to put more money into than I have to, but I also don't want to do the same job over and over again.

Just to clarify, when I say "beater", I don't mean its a piece of junk. Mechanically and functionally it is perfect aside from warped rotors. The interior is as near to perfect as you can expect from an almost 9 year old car with just south of 100k miles. The beater term is in reference to the exterior. Of course a massive hail storm visited us about a year after switching to just liability so now the car looks like a golf ball. A reliable grey golf ball.

This is why you always carry comprehensive coverage. It's very inexpensive to carry this but will save you a lot. Hitting animals, storm damage, acts of God, theft, etc. I carry it on all of my cars. Liability is a lot more money and even though you have to have that make it a habit of keeping comprehensive too.
