I have to replace one of my turn signal sockets. So I got a standard 1157 bulb socket that fits in the housing. Does anyone know what the wire colors mean. From what I can remember there is a solid green wire, a white and black wire, and a green and driver-side: green and black, passenger-side: green and yellow wire (factory wires). The new harness has a different set up in the back and different color wires so I cant even match them up. To my understanding on the drivers side the black and green wire is the signal and the white and black is the ground, and on the passenger side the green and yellow wire is the signal and the white and black is the ground. I don't have any tools to probe the wires and would prefer to wire it up properly, so if anyone could tell me the color meanings or confirm my thoughts I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a 1988 Toyota pickup and I’ve been searching for wiring diagrams of the front left turn signal of my truck but have come up empty. I got the truck with unforeseen wiring damage from rats, the wires from the harness are two wht/blk wires and two different style grn/blk wires from harness. Would you be able to help?

In my experience with Toyotas, wires that are white w/ black stripe are used for grounding wires.
