Damn that's expensive! That would make me want to figure out how that works and fix it myself. You could also try car-parts.com and see if you could find a used one.

Did you ever figure out a fix? I'm thinking about drilling out the latch portion to fit a machine screw to pass all the way through. Don't know if it will work but I figure it's already broke and eBay listings want nearly 200 for a used lid assembly.

 

I had the same problem with my 2012 Sequoia, and I’ve been driving around for a year with the top of the console flying up every time I go over a bump. I had refused to pay the $1200 my local dealership wanted to charge me to fix it.
Yesterday I came up with an idea and fixed it for less than $15. I bought a brick magnet, amending plate, and some JB weld at Lowes. The magnet fit perfectly in the crevice where the latch would attach. I set that in with JB weld. Then I screwed the mending plate into the piece that fit into the crevice and also use JB Weld to make sure it would never come out.
It’s not pretty, but it works like a charm. Hope this helps.
