Purchased a 2015 Avalon about 2 weeks ago and have a slight whine when I turn the steering wheel. I was going to check the power steering fluid but can't locate the reservoir. I pulled the engine cover off thinking it might be under there.
Is the reservoir hidden somewhere or is it something that only a dealer can access? I remember on my 2014 Dodge Charger, the transmission fluid could only be checked/accessed by a dealership. There was no tranny dipstick.

Thanks for any assistance you could provide.

It's In There.....Somewhere

Purchased a 2015 Avalon about 2 weeks ago and have a slight whine when I turn the steering wheel.
One of many nuggets buried in the owner's manual awaiting your discovery:

"â– EPS operation sound

When the steering wheel is operated, a motor sound (whirring sound) may be heard. This does not indicate a malfunction."

Cheers!

My 2014 Avalon is also recently whining. My wife says it sounds like an owl. I mentioned it to my service manager while I was picking up my 2019 and he said it is the rubber boot and next time I bring it in they will spray some silicon lube on it.
