It would help if you state what kind of transmission you have in that Celica - manual or automatic.

 

Sorry I posted on several sites. It's the wheel shifted automatic. Think it's a u240e.

 

Sounds like he said steering wheel shifters so most likely the paddle shift automatic.

 

Makes sense, DCM. Looks like there are nearly 200 of them listed as available in ww.car-part.com website. None in Michigan, unfortunately. But many in Illinois and Ohio, so not too terribly far away.

 

I can find south, but it's roughly $1000 to ship a used trans here. I don't want to spend $1000 on a gamble.

 

And add fluids, seals, labor, etc... My trans literally grenaded. Chunks in pan. Still moves forward and shifts too, but all gears are forward.

 

I'd love to drive it again. But with work, and trans shops telling me won't touch, I need someone to help me. Buy as is, sell me a good trans, or know how to rebuild them, and charge me a fair price. I can pull it out and reinstall. Hell I'd probably even part it out as it is. Anyone need a motor or other parts? Trans is all that's bad on it. I'll consider any offers for whatever. Just sitting, blocking my garage. I don't have much money into car, someone owed me money and gave me car. I drove it for like 3 months before trans grenaded on me. Luckily I was just backing out driveway when it happened.
